Many types of steel are delivered in coils and cannot yet be used immediately for subsequent processing. By decoiling, this steel is processed from a coil into tailored plates. These sheets become completely flat, which means they can be used immediately afterwards for other purposes. Decoiling is therefore often one of the first steps in the production process of products made from sheet steel.
Decoiling at Ulamo
For several years now, we have been able to cut our own sheets to length from coils supplied in different widths. This ensures less material loss and is therefore more sustainable. The special leveler in the installation ensures perfectly flat and stress-free plates. This leveler stretches the metal so that all irregularities disappear. The cut-to-size sheets are then placed in our automatic daily sheet warehouse and are immediately available for further processing.
Optimal efficiency because of automation
The decoiler installation at our disposal is fully automated, ensuring optimum efficiency. The right coil can be called up and is automatically transported from the warehouse to the decoiler installation.

Our advanced decoiler installation allows us to cut sheet steel into many different sizes:
- Width up to 1250 mm
- Length up to 3200 mm
- Thickness from 0.5 mm to 1.5 mm
